Bush or Kerry?

I can't believe the election is only a week away... the time has finally come for a chance to be relieved of our beloved president's mishandling of almost everything.

To be honest, I don't really know of that many Bush supporters in the law school. I don't think that I personally know anyone who's going to vote Bush. Well, ok I take that back, seeing as how my own parents will vote Bush (times like this I'm ashamed to have them as my parents).

For me, it's not even that I like Kerry or Nader, but it's more like picking the lesser of two evils. I just hope that Nader doesn't wreck the election like he did last time: Gore didn't even carry his home state b/c of a small but critical percentage in favor of Nader.

Right now it's looking like it's neck and neck, and I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Here's a parting reminder of our president's stunning grace and intelligence:

"Over the weekend, while on vacation, Bush looked like Chevy Chase doing a Gerald Ford imitation as he stepped onto the platform of a Segway personal transportation scooter and went flying right off.

The first U.S. president to try a Segway supposedly forgot to turn it on, so the gyroscopic stabilizers couldn't automatically balance him." - USA Today

For those of you who don't know what a Segway is, click here

It's supposed to be very difficult to fall off one of these babies, but wouldn't you know it, George W. succeeded with flying colors!

Actually, there are at least 4 or 5 L1's that are voting for Bush. Can't believe it myself. There are also just about that many Bush stickers on cars in the law school parking lot.

Does Bush really care about OUR country? Or does he only care about himself?

I would like to see a Republican answer to these allegations:

I really have to laugh whenever anyone tries to tell me that one of these guys is better than the other. IMO neither one of them are that great. They're a bit like bad Kool Aid, i.e. watered down, disappointing and something that leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Bush has displayed the grace and elegance of a fifth grader. (although I'm sure that even a fifth grader knows not to sit there for seven minutes while being attacked...) Who else almost kills himself with snack food? Seriously... (IowaLawGirl was right, Chevy Chase as Pres Ford: meet GWB)

And then there's Mr. Kerry... Ask yourself this, if he really is the better candidate or even the lesser of two evils, why isn't he projected to win in a landslide? Can't be for his budding stand-up comedy career (did anyone else wince at the Tony Soprano joke?) Also as far as outsourcing goes, does the Heinz company have all of their factories inside the US borders?

Sorry, I'm stepping down from the soapbox now. I guess I'm just a bit disgruntled with the fact that we only have two choices for the Presidency yet we have 50 for Miss America... (not slighting Miss America by the by)

P.S. Back to 2000, Nader or no, if Gore could have carried Tennessee and Arkansas (his and Bill's states), should Florida have even mattered?
